Itinerary
Day 1 – Sunday 13 January
Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport
Met by a Zealous8:2 representative
Transfer to Tel Aviv: Orientation and overnight stay
Day 2 – Monday 14 January
Caesarea: Ancient Roman Port City
Muhrakah: Valley of Armageddon
Nazareth Village: A reconstruction of life in the first century and lunch
Overnight in the North of Israel

Day 3 – Tuesday 15 January
Tel Dan: The site of worship of the Golden Calves (1 Kings 12:28-29)
Nimrod’s Fortress: The ancient ruins of Israel’s largest crusader fortress
Mt Benthal: The sight of one of the fiercest battles in the 1973 Yom Kippur War, know as the Valley of Tears
Discover the North of Israel on Quad Bikes/ATVs
North of Israel: Overnight stay

Day 4 – Wednesday 16 January
Mt. Beatitudes: Overlooks the sea of Galilee
Capernaum: Where Synagogue of Capernaum has today been discovered and partially restored by archaeologists
Sea of Galilee: Boat Ride and lunch
Yardenit: The Jordan River baptismal sight
Sea of Galilee: Overnight stay

Day 5 – Thursday 17 January
Beit Shean: Excellent archeological site of the city mentioned in 1 Samuel 31:1-10
Qumeran: The site of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Essene community
Ein Gedi: David hid from Saul here as recorded in 1 Samuel 23:29.
Dead Sea: Overnight stay
Day 6 – Friday 18 January
Relax at a Dead Sea Spa and have lunch
Masada: Cable Car to the top of Masada, the palace-fortress of Herod the Great, used by the Zealots in the Great Jewish Revolt against Rome.
Kfar Hnokdim: Visit and stay the night at this Bedouin village

Day 7 – Saturday 19 January
Mt. of Olives: Where Jesus is coming back to
Dominus Flavit: An amazing view of Jerusalem where the Lord wept over the city – Luke 19:41-44
Garden of Gethsemane: Where Jesus wept in the Garden
Garden Tomb: A site believed to be the burial place of Jesus
House of Caiaphas: Where part of Jesus’ trial occurred – Matthew 26:57
Upper Room Mt. Zion: The scene of the last supper
Overnight in Jerusalem
Day 8 – Sunday 20 January
City of David: The original site of Jerusalem from the time of King David.
Hezekiah’s Tunnel: A 533 meter long tunnel, mentioned in 2 Chronicles 32:30
Temple Mount: The site of the two temples
Western Wall: The holiest site in Judaism
Kotel Tunnels: The archeological site surrounding the ancient temples Overnight in Jerusalem

Day 9 – Monday 21 January
Yad Vashem: Holocaust Memorial Museum
BFP Outreach Center
Beit Guvrim: A series of caves that were used by the inhabitants of the region for various uses
Overnight in Jerusalem
Day 10 – Tuesday 22 January
BFP Headquarters
Lectures and Orientation
Leave for project, overnight in Community
(NOTE: This might involve rather basic accommodation, including the possibility of sleeping on the floor of a community center on blow-up mattresses and sleeping bags.)
Day 11 – Wednesday 23 January
Project in Community. Be prepared to have a great attitude as we bless the people of Israel.
Day 12 – Thursday 24 January

Day 13 – Friday 25 January
Project in Community
Return to Jerusalem
Overnight in Jerusalem
Day 14 – Saturday 26 January
A free day to explore the Old City of Jerusalem
Leave for airport

Hi I have been seriously considering going on this tour for summer 2007. Can anyone tell me if they liked the first tour in January?
